SPN Hunter Outfit Prototypeby ~FadingLightOfGlory

Inspired by copious amounts of SPN marathons with my friends, and observing the general feel to the character designs. THEREFORE, I created my own hunter oc and outfit.

The jacket is dragon hide from northern Europe, which isn't nearly as cool as it sounds as dragons (a) are not as big as they're made out to be, and (b) don't breath fire so much as transparent hydogen flames.

The whole ordeal was very disappointing, actually. She went all the way to Europe to kill one of the damn things, and it took four just to put that jacket together! Still, the hide has the nifty properties of being extremely difficult to pierce or cut, resistant to very high temperatures, and possessing a very nice texture.

Unfortunately, dragonhide also soaks up water like a sponge.

There's a reason you don't often hear about dragons and rain in the same sentence.

The symbols were burnt into the leather with acid, which was a very long and painful process -especially since she ran the risk of destroying a perfectly good jacket while she was at it. The runes and various symbols are for good luck, protection against evil, and focusing energy, mainly.

And then there's the obligatory denim and boots.

I've taken a look at the group -thanks for recommending it- and it certainly seems quite interesting. I never actually did anything with this character, really, but I might now that I have something to do with the results!

Very nice design-- looks both comfortable and practical, as well as being stylish.

Dragons don't have to be big to be crazy nasty. I know one type that has weaponry on all eight limbs, between the teeth, claws, and tail spike.

And Norse runes? I approve!

Thank you! As much as I was tempted to go and create something awesome-looking but totally impractical, I ended up liking this better -simpler, cleaner, and definitely cooler.

True, true... still, it would be disappointing to fly all the way over to Europe looking for a massive, full-on fire-breathing dragon only to find a bunch of foot-high little guys with invisible hydrogen flames. That's up there with false advertising!

I've heard of that type of dragon before, but I've never been able to remember where it comes from.

Yay, approval! Honestly, I got the weirdest looks from my friends when I was looking them up for "spell-casting purposes" on the internet and in a couple of my books.
